Essences and shattering monsters.

I've been noticing that sometime essences just don't drop from essence monsters, I believe this is because I am shattering monsters with Call of the Void. Mostly monsters that have a 2nd phase after killing them once, shattering removes the 2nd phase and so the essences don't drop.
