Acts are too disconnected from one another geographically (Spoilers obviously)

I love Path of Exile 2, but one complaint I have when comparing it to the first one is that the acts are too disconnected from one another. We go from an Ezomyte settlement to the plains of the Vastiri to the ruins of the Vaal Capital to Ngamakanui and it does not really feel like they are all part of Wraeclast. In Path of Exile 1, when you transition from one Act to another, you are usually just going into a new area that was connected to the old area you were previously in so there is a sense of adventure. That is completely missing from Path of Exile 2.
The interludes do this the worst and introduce completely new areas you never had access to while in Path of Exile 1, they would just block off areas and you would have to explore them later. GGG has to do a better job of interconnecting the world and integrating the waystones into the Acts like they are in Path of Exile 1. The game is already going to be long, but I recommend adding more meat to fill in the world and interconnect the zones, so we do not feel like we are jumping around from geographically distinct location after geographically distinct location. For instance, the journey on ship from Act 3 to Act 4 should have some event and geographic location via ship connecting the two points instead of just teleporting to Kingsmarch and complaining about being in a cart. Let me walk there are travel there protecting a group. Just some suggestions to help thee sense of adventure. Last bumped on Mar 17, 2026, 1:39:05 PM

Even if I like the idea I can't, in good faith, advocate for it.
Basically you're asking for either a hypergranular world where we're accounting for ever minute of our journey from the shipwreck/escape all the way to when we're delving into the atlas. Or you're asking for a proper overworld with proper overworld music and traversal like in dragon quest or final fantasy. As much as I'd like that and a character skin where we dress up as the hero from dragon quest 1 or 3 or the princess of moonbrook from dragon quest 2 or the warrior of light from final fantasy, I don't think thats appropriate either. But hey, if you want to make a VR video game about new zealand where you can do all of that, you do you. IGN : Reamus
