Mobs blocking path

Hello all,
I have the following question, when rolling throughout the map and especially when hitting mobs, while rolling i am able to pass through mobs but when a lot of mobs are around and circle the character i have noticed that is impossible to roll through them to get a position for killing. I do not feel it's light stun because i can see the character rolling but stay in the same position. Is that something i miss? Should it work like that?
