Searing Bond of Detonation "per totem detonated" damage

In brief without math numbers:
I am unsure if I am interpreting the text correctly, but I figured that more totems detonated at once means more damage. I have my gem 20% quality, so the "Burning damage applied by detonation...." is: "40% more damage per totem detonated".

My gear is pretty crap, so my testing was on The Black Star when I had:
A. base 3 max power charges (so 4 total totems trigger the explosion)
B. 5 max power charges (so 6 total totems trigger the explosion)

Despite the (in theory) 40% additional damage x2 = 80% more damage.....it still effectively did the exact same amount of damage.



With numbers:
My PoB estimates I'm around 400-500k dps for the explosions.
I ran The Black Star, but my gear is crap so I died half way through, though it worked fine for 50% of her HP timed with 4 total totems and the other half of her HP timed with 6 total totems.

With both setups, it took about 40 seconds to do 50% of her life (going by poedb.tw HP for her of about 35,478,124hp, that comes out to 443,476dps, both times.


For an under-estimate dps calculation:
I had to use chatGPT for attempting to calculate the true base dmg with 1 totem (it may not be calculated like this, i have no idea). And it came up with 201,364dps, which after adding 3 more totems, then equals the 443,476dps.

Therefore adding 2 more totems, should make the dps 604,092....meaning I should have done 50% of her life in just 29 seconds (a noticeable difference), yet that didn't happen.

It's like there was 0% additional/more damage when I added 2 more totems instead of 80% more damage.


For a higher-estimate dps calculation:
If by comparison the 443,476dps is the default 'base' with 4 totems, and any additional totems then add 40% each, the calculation of dps (going to 6 totems) is ~798,000dps, or in other words I'd do 50% of her HP in 22 seconds.

Again, regardless of calculations, they are noticeably shorter than 40 seconds.



Is the damage applying as "increased" instead of "more"?
Or is there a part of the text in the gem I am completely misinterpreting?

Im very curious about this can someone say something or investigate ?

Im testing the SBoD and im 100% sure the Concetrated effect gem support doesnt affect damage of explosion.

Testing multiple times on bosses dmg is exactly same with or without Conc Effect.
