Full screen freeze

The game anyways throws me into full-screen mode and when I swap it to windowed full-screen the game always freezes forever and a lot of times doesn't switch to windowed mode or it will boot me out of the game. It's been frozen for about 2 minutes right now.

You mind adding to this existing thread about the same issue? I've had this issue for years and I want them to finally address it. I even found a post from 2019 about this issue.
