Boss fight rework that will not waste resource.

in the recent interview with john espiritu, the rigging lead of GGG.

we know they put a lot of effort and time on all these bosses meshes and physics, animation for all their abilities.

so i really dont want all of these artistic effort to go to waste, thats why i suggest you make ALL the boss fights to be less of 1 shot kill.

bosses should have more health, but their damage should be reworked.

normally some of these bosses slam skills with red smoke can one shot us with 999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 points of damage.

we can make these slams to deal 80 to 99 percent current effective hit points. that way its dangerous but its not stupid 1 shot.

while their normal attacks can be a little bit less punishing but their lifepoints are doubled/tripled as well as their defences.

now this might not be correct, and i might be wrong here. but my points is to make the bossfights longer so we can see all the things they do.

im new ( only started playing late into 0.3) and i just learned to fight all the bosses on realm gates and all.. and i legit sometimes saw an attack that i never see they do in the youtube videos about all the OP builds that one shots the bosses.

Most youtube videos try their best to flex as either a marketing video for their own personal skills or build because people are naturally drawn to it. There's nothing easier than deleting monsters over actually engaging with them.

Unfortunately it means you run into scenarios where someone is showcasing their "mega insane ultimate end-game :o" build and embellishing it a bit, or maybe doesn't know themselves what they are doing. The content can sometimes feel like it's crossing over into "disingenuous" or "click bait" territory.

It's just the name of the online content game unfortunately.

It's not as exciting watching someone methodically work their way through a t16 with monsters that have been buffed to nearly 200% increased HP, evasive, armoured, 20% of life as ES, higher stun/ailment threshold, and extra damage, all on top of 100% increased effect of map mods, and a relatively drawn out fight against a +5 atlas difficulty boss. Even when that sort of thing could be a better benchmark to highlight certain aspects of a build, like survivability during sustained encounters.

You've gotta sift through every wannabe famous YT influencer's click-bait to find the good stuff, but there's quite a bit out there if you do look.

I promise you all the people "one-shotting" bosses aren't doing it on +5 difficulty bosses on top of difficult map mods on builds that don't also run the risk of being instantly deleted when they accidentally zoom directly into a divine shrine pack or run into an single errant slam.

If people want to play glass cannons, that's fine. A lot of people do. It also makes for the most "exciting" video highlights so it will make up the bulk of the online content as people vie for online attention. However, I don't think it's a coincidence between this fact and that when you read through the feedback forums there's an abundance of people complaining about "bullshit one-shots" lol.

I find the best videos for getting a handle on boss mechanics are the ones made by people who are doing cool challenges like "Uber arbiter, naked, default attack only", stuff like that.
Who am I to say anything, I don't respect my time either.

yea i saw that naked monk, that was epic, i could see all of arbiters move and the monk dodges it beautifully.
bosses arent the problem they cant realy oneshot as long as you do a decent job of making a propper build but i think it is worth mentionong that rightt now some rare monsters are a problem, with people out there building 8k hp high armour and maxed out resistances and still getting oneshot by an insane rare monster
