Incarnation Boss Fights "unexpected disconnection"

When I am attempting any of the incarnation boss fights, if I die one time and try to go back into my portal, I get "unexpected disconnection occurred", and it utilizes a portal, essentially making it so I only have one life for the incarnation boss fights. Anyone else experiencing this?

edit: this has been happening for multiple days in a row now, not just a one off
