Are we sure the 100% scarab, currency and more map Mirage wishes work?

I am farming quite a lot of maps, reguarly dropping 100 maps+ a map and I've build up quite a sample size by now. Anytime I get the 100% more map mirage wish I take it and I am certain there is no noticeable difference in the amount of maps that drop.

Right now I have a map open that has 171% more maps found in area. When I enter the mirage it says this: https://imgur.com/a/dY6h6OT

I don't see a reason why the mirage wouldnt just add the 100% more maps to the existing modifiers just like eater/exarch altars do with quant and rarity, so my imediate first impression is that it maybe overrides one of the mods?

Gaining another 100% more maps should be very noticeable.

There is a chance that everytime I have opened a 100% more map wish, all the other modifiers lowrolled, like which packs got replaced, which packs got converted to magic etc etc but that seems highly unlikely with the amount of maps that I ran.
