Ritual Scarab of Wisps not working with totems

It seems that the Ritual Scarab of Wisps does not grant 100% increased tribute when using totems to kill monsters.

I tried using the same scarab and staying within range with a self cast character and the difference in tribute gained is immediately noticeable. With totems i usually get around 8-12k tribute, with self cast it has never went below 15k, usually reaching around 20k, with the same atlas and same scarabs and same-ish maps (8 mod corrupted)
