Essence Beasts not Affected by +Tier essence Scarab or Nodes

So, I thought I would try to farm Essences along with beasts and used Two of the Scarab of the Herds with a Essence Scarab of Calcification and with a Essence Scarab of Ascent and noticed all the beasts spawned this way were mainly spawning as Wailing and ect. Unlike the normal Essences mobs would spawn alot of Screaming tier and above.

Is this intended?
