Kinetic FussiladeTotem & Flicker Strike

So I'm playing a Kinetic Fusillade Totem build and my wife is playing Flicker Strike. While in combat any monsters my totems are attacking my wife cannot attack. Her character just stands there. But if I'm not attacking she can fly through them.
