Heist still giving fossils?

Based on the patch notes 3.28, I was under the assumption that fossils had been removed from all content. I was made aware that fossils are still available from heist. I assume this was just one of the few places that did not get removed in time for 3.28, but just wanted to check if these reward chests should have been removed.
