Timeless Astrolabe Removing Multiple Maps

Had my atlas open when I started a map and noticed it removed 3 maps from my Timeless Shaped region despite having 5 remaining.

The maps were all in a line, I'm running the Synth Stability keystone so I'm not sure if it selected the middle map of the line to remove which then severed and thus removed one side of the line.
