Eater Altar Boss Rewards Not Dropping

I found an eater altar for "Final Boss drops 2 additional Divine Orbs". The altar spawned inside a mirage. I then killed the map boss within the mirage and no divines dropped. I then left the mirage and killed the map boss and again no divines dropped. This was on T11 Arsenal.
