Cannot exert attacks while using multistrike

Is this intended? Whenever I use multistrike or grab an echoing shrine, I can no longer exert my vaal dominating strike attacks.

" Yes. You cannot exert attacks which repeat. Holding Alt over a Warcry which can Exert attacks will display an explanation saying as much under the line saying "Exerts the next X Melee Attacks you perform". |
