Proximity Shield singlehandedly crashing games

Hello,

this has been an issue for years but this league it raises to a new level. When a projectile that can chain and/or fork or has other on mechanics, hits a proximity shield, it has a massive impact on the game.

This becomes even more apparent when playing with lots of projectiles from e.g. Mines or Totems.

What I feel like it is, is that the game still does the full math on every single mob the projectile would hit and since they are "immortal" when the projectile hits the shield, they can't die which would end the calculation for the dead mobs and thus the calculations keep stacking atop of each other resulting in an overflow that first reduces the FPS to singledigits until the game finally crashes.

This was a problem for ages now but it was never as bad as it is now. Now a single mob with proximityshield and just 4-5 enemies in the shield can put you down from 60fps to 15fps

This must be fixed asap.

Some content in the game is unplayable because of this right now if you are a projectile character.
