Twist of Fate bricks mapping

If I use the Twist of Fate atlas passive and put a corrupted rare map into the map device it will simply do nothing, no map is opened nor any error. The only thing confusing about this is that it worked perfectly fine before using an astrolabe and completing those influenced maps, It's entirely possible these are not connected but Twist of Fate worked fine for me beforehand.
