Delve "animalistic items" node will not complete

node name - Echoing Lair
biome - Fungal Caverns
depth - 111
contains "Animalistic Items"

Upon arriving at the node, some monsters appear, including 1 yellow "beast" - after killing them, no more red or yellow beasts spawn and the node does not complete. I must exit to character select or exit the game at this point.
