New Sands Of Time Sceptre interaction with Triggerbots

Just got my hands on the Sands of Time sceptre from the new boss. Was very keen and hopeful that it would interact with triggerbots in some way, I understand the rule of a trigger can not trigger another trigger but from my testing the sceptre had no interaction with Triggerbots at all.

I was thinking that it would instead trigger 2 mirages per 1 spell cast when paired with triggerbots, akin to the Tawhoa's Felling trigger Tawhoa's Chosen which creates 2 mirages who each use the skill.

Is Sands of Time intended to have no interaction with triggerbots? The spell description itself states "Creates a Suspended Mirage - an astral-infused clone of yourself that is suspended in time, just before the release of the spellcast that triggered them." This states they are triggered by the spell cast so I would assume it would interact in some capacity.

It works just as you describe with self-cast spells with triggerbots. Note that it doesn't work with instant spells (or with the usual suspects: Vaal skills, channeling skills, skills that create minions).

To test it out, try this:

Equip Sands of Time and Ball Lightning (since it's easy to keep track of where the casts come from)

Cast Ball Lightning

You should see one ball, and your triggerbots should create two mirages

Cast Ball Lightning again

You should see five balls: one from you, two from the two mirages that were created previously, and two from another two mirages that appear, cast, and immediately disappear.

Here's a video that shows it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gs-ToBs5QVo

Saw the video awesome that it works that way but when I tried it out originally i could swear it did not interact at all, i even used wave of conviction the same as he did. Unsure if there was a hotfix for it as since this post and today there has been numerous hotfixes and I didn't read them.
