Can't fully use my merchant tab because (I think) someone is afk in it

I had a person come a buy something from my merchant tab, and for the past hour, if not more, I've had them sitting in my HO, and for that same period I've not been able to make some changes to my tab. I can't add items, and any items that were added right before they came to my HO are still price-locked. I can still remove items or change their prices, but with the aforementioned caveat.
I've tried moving Faustus, dismissing his decoration and creating a new instance of my HO, none of which worked, the latter two because I wasn't allowed.
