Eagon Map Device + Simulacrum

While having Eagon's map device open, I attempted to move Simulacrums from the Map Device Storage space to my inventory. Ctrl + Lclick of course moved them into Eagon's Map Device instead. I believe one of them got put 'underneath' the locked map in the map device as one of them disappeared. When Trying to active Eagon's Map it gives the error "Simulacrum cannot be used with a Map". As such I cannot progress my Eagon questline at the moment.

A fix would be greatly appreciated so that I can continue progressing.

While brainstorming with some friends, I was able to find a solution to remove the stuck Simulacrum from under the Eagon map. After removing any remaining Simulacrums from my stash, I was able to list the stuck Simulacrum on the Currency Exchange, which pulled it out of Eagon's Map Device, letting me now progress his questline.

Same issue for me, but i have no idea what's left in there and it's covered, so i am just locked out of eagon maps until GGG graciously fixes it

I have the same issue, except i'm in ssf std and i cant do the currency exchange trick
