Wyvern Devour skill doesn't always work

I've recently started a wyvern build and noticed that devour doesn't always work. The corpse has the green frame, but the stupid dragon just won't eat. I have to move away from it and then it eventually works. It's not always that way but often enough that it's a real annoyance.
