Re-filling/unlocking Atlas with old maps did not function (Bug Report ID: #2,002,977,697)

(edit note: Standard League)
Originally assuming it was just my own incompetence I got some help in attempting several corrupt rare T16 maps in both my own map device and the other player's own:

Neither those, nor corrupt rare 10s, non-corrupt rare 6-10s, or even blue tier 4s of my own stock allowed any prior unlocking.
Only the bonus for the specific map node (such as Tier 1: Shrine even when done as a corrupt 16) was granted once, first time that node was selected.

Only additional information I have is that initially upon logging in after the update, though the first four T1 nodes were not completed nor marked as such, I had four passive atlas points awaiting expenditure in addition to the granted free respec.

Same here, tried a few rare corrupted maps T16 (old ones) in Standard and it did not complete the atlas.

Bugged it ingame.

Epic client, not that it should make any difference.

This is an entirely new atlas mechanic, so there is no bug here

Just complete a natural T16 (in the corner of atlas) and you are fine. You may need to complete T1, T6 T10 to clear the mist first

Total Atlas completion by running one old rare corrupted T16 is what is meant here.

I did it in Standard by running a rare corrupted old series T16 map by placing it in the T1 map slot in the middle of that Atlas, and it did the whole lot in one go.

If it worked for me, it should work for everyone else too. But it doesn't.

It is a entirely new atlas mechanic. End of story.

You know there is no such thing "legacy" map, right?

Even the oldest map are gone except the map icon

All map can place them in the same map tab, indicating that they are not treated as legacy or having any map series property .

So that old catch up mechanic is not relevant

Or think of yourself

there is no 3.28 legacy map left for 3.29 to activate the so called "catch up mechanic", so how they catch up in 3.29 if devs not change the system?

OK, no legacy map, just the icon, in which case map catch-up could be done with any rare corrupted one.

It worked for me with one of my "old" icon maps (rare corrupted T16). It did not work for other people. It did not work for one of my alt accounts. It did work for another alt account.

The catch-up mechanic is still there for the Standard atlas. It just doesn't always work.

They did change it, it's literally in the patchnotes:

"Reworked the system for catching up Atlas progress on Standard. Now, if your account has previously acquired any Voidstones, completing any node on the Atlas will complete every node of the same tier and lower."

The problem is, there seems to be a ton of issues with it and the Standard atlas/endgame is pretty bricked for a lot of people right now, myself included.
xjjanie#4242, i already said, using a "legacy" map on natural T16 node on the corner of the atlas may work. This may be the new catch up mechanic, or cause by entirely something else. Just you can't use a legacy T16 map item on the T1 node in the centre of the atlas and hope it works.
