Banned despite not playing for over a year

I haven't opened Path of Exile since December of 2024 where I stopped playing PoE 2 EA due to family visiting for the holidays and work commmitments. During this time period, I didn't notice an email stating my account was being accessed from an abnormal location.
Fast forward to March and I receive an email that my ban appeal, which I did not submit, has been denied. Of course I try reaching out to support to get some more information surrounding this and I'm met with the most robotic and clearly outsourced responses I have ever encountered from a live support team. Amazon gives more lively support responses for heaven's sake. Is this the normal experience where it's impossible to have a conversation with the support team or even so much as get some detail surrounding why a ban would have taken place while my account was compromised? I can't even get help investigating the breach to determine how it happened. I'm not even mad about the ban itself anymore as it has been a year. Of course it sucks to lose all the cosmetics I've paid for to support the game, but the support experience was just abhorrent. I always held GGG in such high regards on that front until I actually had to work through the process. It would pay to be a streamer in that aspect I guess. Wishing everyone a great league, just wanted to vent my frustrations and share a word to the wise on blindly supporting a game, as I have done many a time.
