Spellslinger Skill Gem Effects not working

The skill gem effects do not work when they are socketed into the "spellslinger" ability from Dueling Wand. (For example, abyssal thunderstorm, abyssal elemental weakness)

They work fine on things like Cast on Crit, Cast on Elemental Ailment but the game does not recognize the skills being socketed in Spellslinger.
