I got banned without a reason
|
I just got banned in the middle of boss mechanics without a reason, got disconnected, and got a message pop-up that the administrator banned me. I am doing a boss fight and struggling to clear it many times. I can't remember the exact boss name, but it's a boss in the map endgame where you need 50 pcs. of materials from the altar shrine to access it. I got disconnected and banned specifically in a second phase of a boss fight where you need to follow some blue wisp to get back in the arena and fight the boss, or else you will die in some toxic water flowing on the ground. This is my first time playing Path of Exile, and it's sad that I got banned without doing anything illegal that was against the rules. I checked my account on the website, and it is tagged as banned. The reason is a third-party application. I was so confused because I only have some random YouTube tab and a call with my girlfriend on my desktop background.
I checked some old posts from the community about this stuff—many innocent players getting banned by administrators without doing anything bad. I already submitted an appeal. I hope they respond and recover my account as soon as possible. It's so frustrating that after the hard mechanics of the boss fight and not being able to kill the boss, my rewards are getting banned, and I can't play the game, haha. Great game, though, and I enjoyed it a lot. Last bumped on Mar 6, 2026, 10:59:32 AM

You'll need to email support@grindinggear.com about this.
Having spent thousands of euros on Path of Exile over the years, I will not be further supporting it financially until and unless GGG resumes offering Technical Support.

Seems like there was a massive ban wave today, probably from a bug in their cheat guard. My partner was banned for third party application as well and we have nothing unusual installed in their computer (neither in mine).... that's sad I'm not banned, but it's unlike that I will play this game ever again if their don't revert the ban. And even if they revert I'm not feeling safe anymore to expend money with points after that.

" First of all, that is technically a different ban message. Secondly - if they haven't already, your partner will need to email support@grindinggear.com about this. It won't be done automatically, and GGG will not discuss their account with you under any circumstances. I do hope that they do so, and that in the end it's good news.
