Lingering illusion stops working during some abyss related boss fights.

While I was fighting Vessel of Kulemak pinnacle boss, and later while I was fighting Tasgul, lingering illusion would not create illusions when I dodge roll. The UI still indicated that the lingering illusion buff was active and that its spirit was still reserved. I also made sure there were no invisible illusions. It is not just a visual issue.
I have lingering illusion active in both weapon sets. I am using wyvern form permanently in both weapon sets. The support gems socketed in lingering illusion are: charge profusion II, prolonged duration II, precision 1.
I have not changed my build or equipment recently, and I have had illusions functioning in all other situations.
