Concise feedback on Varashta disciple theme, a visual cohesion problem.

The facts :
- Disciple of Varashta is a very special minion ascendency that relies on Djinns and is heavily Djinn themed.
- Muster (supprot gem) and At Your Command (Notable) bring a huge DPS boost the more mixed and extensive your minion army is. It is a staple for any minion army build.

The result : if you want to maximize your output as a Varashta disciple, you are shoehorned into bringing a massive skeleton army with you.

My problem : the whole Djinn theme, which is EXTREMELY cool, is automatically broken when you have necromantic minions filling your screen, that you don’t even command but bring just for benefitting from a support gem and a notable (aforementioned). The massive army also severely affects visual clarity.
I would like to be a djinn summoner as the ascendency suggests, and play with my djinns, not bring an army of skeletons and spectres.

What could we do?

Somehow boost djinn damage and make them a special category that don’t benefit these two passives?

Arabian nights themed skeleton MTX?

A slider to make skeletons and spectres invisible?

Thank you for your attention

I disagree that you are "shoehorned" into having an army if you want to obtain damage from the Djinn command skills.

You do not need a minion army using muster and at your command to get decent damage from them. This sounds like a build issue. There's plenty of examples out there of great damage from these skills without using either of the strategies you've listed.

Those items do benefit them, but they are not required.
Who am I to say anything, I don't respect my time either.
I hear you, but I didn’t say you were shoehorned into it to "obtain damage". I said to "maximize output. The difference is crucial. It means that you are voluntarily sacrificing a remarkable damage boost just to respect your ascendency’s theme.

Could you show me an example of a build that only uses Djinns and is still endgame proof? That I’m interested in.

The bottle neck problem you are talking about seems to apply to most skills and ascendancies in this game unfortunately which really limits build design and build diversity in this game.

I am inclined to agree. I hope it will develop as the game does, gems are added etc.
In the meantime I would welcome a targeted rework to make this very unique ascendency make sense and live to its thematic potential, instead of just "adding aoe spells to a minion build".
