PoE2 - Stuck in "Legacy of the Vall"

Stuck in "Legacy of the Vall" - "Search Jiquani's Mechinarium for a small Soul Core to open the Door"
I need to find a small core to open the initial door to the Vaal Temple

I have search high and low, near and far.
I have search there, there and everywhere.

That "small" Soul Core is nowhere, it's a fairly small map, and I have taken the time to use Ice Nova in every room/hallway to make sure no destructible areas are still standing.

All enemies are of course dead.

No crate, no enemy and no random interaction has dropped the soul core - which leads me to feel stuck.

I know, I can most likely just jump out and wait 15 minutes to get a new generation with new luck - but writing here (and support email) in case saving the level seed/generation might be helpful - This is in the worst case scenario that the key to the room never actually generated.

The more likely scenario is that I am blind and hasn't seen the core, or the location it might drop, in which case, I feel sad and human...

I don't know the best way to share a picture or video my search but I'll stick around the level for a bit in case some good ideas pop up!

I found a way to die - using Chaos spells drains my health and eventually I died - this respawned the level with all enemies - upon a second clear, there's still no crystal. I am either missing something super obvious, or it's truly broken!

As I quit inside the broken level, and came back the next day - cleared it again without any soul core to be found.
I spent 15-ish minutes outside of the level, clearing some random levels (believe I did the trial in Act2 for fun) and as I got back, the level had regenerated - about 30% through the clear of the new level, a soul core was there on the floor.

This further confirms my idea that I could not have missed it in my previous runs as it's an obviously red-glowing item on the ground with huge green text
