Please some love for console trade
|
With the removal of the old trade market on console in 3.27 trade in currency items dried up completely.
Faustus is great for the PC economy with a hundred thousand participants but on console it is barren with the small player base. Increasing the slot limit significantly to say 100 on the console version would go a long way to make the economy function. Last bumped on Mar 4, 2026, 1:35:51 AM

Increasing the amount of currency trades allowed through Faustus would be beneficial for console. A possible downside is the top 1% of players have a much easier time mass manipulating an already struggling market. Although anything more is welcome, including absurd prices... as having 0 option is worse than feeling ripped off.
Ultimately, a crossplay merge would be the best fix. Most posts regarding console feedback are fixable with a PoE1 crossplay merge. |

I Agree, new trade made console even worse, we had it better before... Atleast currency trade, too few slots to make it meaningful. At this point it would be huge if we actually could get crossplay with pc. I see no reason why not now? I guess you have learned how it's possible with poe2 and could do it on poe1 aswell now? , if not atleast give us 100 trade slots to compensate for too small player base to make the currency trade meaningful. I do not want to play ssf, but it start to feel more like it now.

Even if they can't make both async and currency cross trade, at least the currency one would be huge.
Barring that we definitely need at least 100 faustus slots. There are over 100 different types of scarabs alone, and the market is so small that with only 10 slots you can't trade in most of the scarabs. I'm both super excited for the new league and endgame changes, and also super worried trade will be just as bad as last league and I will quit in frustration. |

" Disagree strongly. By far the most posts of console feedback are about performance or UI. Yes, with the new trade market change, there has been a sharp increase in complaints about it, but it's still FAR from the #1 issue. Also, not everyone wants crossplay/crosstrade. There are definitely some issues with the current system, but it is, for the vast majority of players, a large improvement over the old system. If they just add a quick-lookup shortcut and do something to improve the Currency Exchange experience in small economies (some examples: vastly increasing the number of slots or allowing some special way to list disparate items, such as each type of scarab or each type of essence), then it will be down to more or the less the same complains as from the old system. Examples: "This PC league-start guide says I should be able to buy this t3 unique for 2c on day 1" (this is not true even on PC). "Everything is too expensive" (which means your own items sell for more, if you actually sell things). "I just can't get the items I want for my build, no matter how much currency I have" (this one is just a function of the small economy--it would indeed be "fixed" by crossplay/crosstrade). Etc. Additionally, as many of the popular Twitch/YT streamers are fond of saying "PoE Trade economy is a PvP activity". If you have to compete with people in the PC market, as a console player, you're going to lose a lot of the time. They have much better tools available to them, much larger guilds, etc. Also, you'll be competing with bots and RMT farms more than you do on console. To summarize: It's not all upside, and doesn't instantly fix everything. | |
" With the feedback on the forum I've seen since 3.27 I'm not sure how you can believe a "majority of players" think it a "large improvement". If you were to survey people and ask how's instant buyout, they would say its good. If you ask people how is currency trading in 3.27 a majority of players would tell you its bad, many would say economy breaking very bad. Instant buyout being nice is fine, but once you buy your needed gear you wont use it much. A functional trade in currency is so much more important. That could mean making faustus more usable on console which they don't seem to want to do, or integrating it with PC. Either or. |

" The majority of players never interact with the forums. And most of those also never interact with global chat or Reddit either (and least not commenting/posting). Players who are active in going to places like the forums are a tiny minority of the base. There are many thousands of players on console, but only a few dozen active forum users in the console section. And a TON of players have either never used the currency exchange, or barely used it. Not because it's bad (which it currently is, on console), but because they simply don't do that stuff. *Maybe* they swap chaos for divines or vise-versa, but a huge number of players literally never trade for scarabs, essences, etc. They didn't trade for them in the old system, and they don't even know how bad the currency exchange is for those items. On top of all this, there's a very large bias in this sort of data towards negativity. People who are content almost never go make posts that say "I'm content with the current system" or "I don't either hate or love the changes they made". People who love the changes are a bit more likely to post. But, by *far* the most likely people to go post about things are the people who are upset. This is true across forums, Reddit, review sites, etc. Last edited by QQPQ#9136 on Mar 4, 2026, 1:36:56 AM
