Dodge roll wasd problem

I have a repeatable issue, i play with WASD, dodge roll, hold a movement input to continue strafing as a ranged attack.
when i left click, if i am still strafing i will sprint to the mouse location regardless of my wasd input direction.

There is no loot on the ground to misclick, i am testing on the beach.

This results in my dodges often getting me hit has i evade, then immediatly sprint to the danger i tried to avoid to get hit.
