CANT EXIT TO CHARACTER SELECTION/////LOGIN TIMEOUT

After playing for a while ill decide to change characters for whatever reason, when i select to exit to the character selection menu the game stays in a suspended state whilst in my hideout or any town.
I do not end up exiting to the character selection and am unable to do anything, I have to shut the game down via task manager or ALT+F4. After this happens I reboot the game only to find i cannot login, the login button becomes grey and will eventually time out, if i try the login again the same issue arises with it being grey and timing out. If i played 10 different times today this would occur at least 8 out of those 10 times. The only fix ive found is logging into poe1, creating a new character and getting to town, then i log out of poe1 and log back into poe2 with no login time out, this works every time however it does not work if i select an existing character in poe1 or create a new character without reaching town. After using this fix ill login to poe2 with any of classes and then i will experience the same cycle if i try to change character again. I have both but only ever one installed at once, this happens on both clients.

Are you possibly in Germany or at least the EU? I have a similar problem which started happening after an ISP infrastructure problem. I can only exit the game to log back in which sometimes just fails. I believe at least this time it is not a PoE server issue but an ISP issue. Please tell if you ever manage to fix it.

Im in New Zealand. No infrastructure changes in recent years.

Have you ran PackCheck.exe to check for corrupted files?
It is located in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile 2 😹😹😹😹😹

Yes i have tried this, there was no orphaned chunks, free chain was good, if i remember correctly the only difference was the new pack file size which is standard of course.
I feel like I've tried every possible option. I can not play for days and go to login and this will happen straight off the bat aswel. Think I'm at the point of giving up on this game, sank alot of $ into supporter packs so is a bit disheartening. |
