Before the new league starts, I implore you to add back the old trading market. Please, please.

I used to play each league for two months, but due to changes made to the trading market, I had to quit the game after only about two weeks. The removal of the old trading market nearly destroyed Path of Exile 1 (POE1). I had tons of items to sell, especially scarabs and cards. However, the 10 trading slots available on Faust seem ridiculously small. Don't you conduct any surveys on the actual data of each platform before making changes to the game? There aren't many players on the console platform, and now you're keeping players who have many items to sell out of the market, completely erasing items that many players want to buy from the game. You've truly destroyed this game. And don't your engineers even play on consoles to experience the gameplay? The old market allowed me to easily check the price of my items in a second. Now, when I play on the console, I have to prepare a PC or even a more cumbersome phone nearby just to open your stupid web trading market. Would anyone actually like to use a gamepad to open the web trading market on a console and spend 5 minutes or even more time to check an item that may be worth 1C? Please, please experience the real gameplay situation for yourself

My response to your title is "no, thanks!"

As to your specific complaints, most of those I agree with, and I do want a better solution to selling stackables in small economies like console (and HC Trade on PC).

And I *really* hope they bring back the quick lookup shortcut.

But I don't want the old TM back.

Old TM allowed scamming and harassment, both of which were very prominent for certain types of players. I'll gladly sacrifice lots of other stuff to keep the scammers and harassers from being able to do their thing.

Complete opposite, I would love the old TM back. Scammers were easy to avoid and the new instant buyout has scammers too, just of a different variety.

Removing TM destroyed trade in consumables. Like OP I quit after a week when I would normally play constant for 6-8 weeks.

I absolutely hated going back/forth to my desktop PC to search for items and teleport to peoples hideout.

I couldn't sell a frigging thing on faustus due to low volume and tiny market.

POE console economy is dead now without some serious fixes.

They fixed landmining. No other actual scams exist in instant buyout.

There are still bad actors, but you never pay a different price than what was listed on the site, and you never receive less than your sale price.

And the only scam that existed on the old trade was people trying to send you ex instead of divs for high value items. It was easy to avoid, I mean you just had to spend a half second paying attention and not accept the trade.

If you truly believe getting rid of that minor annoyance was worth the damage done to the trade economy that you must have fallen for it A LOT.

You are either being disingenuous or you are woefully unaware of all the scams (and other bad behavior) that went on in the old TM.

By far the largest one was simply mispricing items for very low prices, but never selling them. Then, when someone lists one for sale, and sees the "current market price" is, buy it up for the low price. Either use for yourself or relist the item for its real value.

This wasted many people's time, making offers on the item that were never going to be accepted, as well as ripping off the people listing for the "market price" who were unaware of the scam. There were at least 2 guilds containing dozens of players across them using this tactic in a coordinated way to control market prices on various items (mostly expensive div cards, but also certain rare consumables/currencies).

Technically you can still run this scam, but only on the old "in-person" trade method, and people are *way* more likely to notice the false price when there's 5 of an item listed for in-person only trade for 5d and the cheapest instant-buyout one is 25d.

Additionally, it was possible to be completely anonymous on the old TM (even hiding listings so they don't appear on the website), so the bad actors were very difficult to track down even if you wanted to maintain a personal blacklist or whatever. It is no longer possible to be anonymous in trade at all. People knowing who you are discourages bad behavior.

If you were a truly active trader in the old TM, you probably wasted multiple hours per week on trade offers that would never be accepted (20-40 seconds at a time). Some of those were scammers, others just couldn't be bothered, or had changed their mind, or whatever. Asyc trade gives you back all that time. You can farm more currency, or go touch grass, or watch a movie.

This!
I want to give trade another try this league and even try out the Faustus version but from initial testing in standard the console experience with it is abysmal to unusable.
... is not a troll (PS5 btw)

I agree 10 slots is not enough however I much prefer the new trading system. Just let me have 20 trade slots instead because some things take awhile to sell.

Like last league I farmed essences and always had all 10 slots filled. I need the option to put it in a tab or have more slots so I can actually sell my stuff. Its not like pc. Sometimes even at the right price it takes days to get someone to buy it.
they won't do it as they are unable to redo merchant tabs -_- i lost 16 stash tabs in SSF due to the improvements of the Trade market. As console players we just lost so much value we had in stash tabs it's ridiculous and they don't even agree that we just got robbed :(
