[Critical] Passive points disappear when respeccing with Oracle's "Entwined Realities"

There is a critical bug involving the Dual Specialisation system and the Oracle's "Entwined Realities" ascendancy passive.
When trying to respec passive points that are specifically assigned to a Weapon Set within the radius of Entwined Realities:

The respec frequently fails to process.

Rarely, the skill points are not returned to the unallocated pool and completely disappear from the character.

Current Situation:
I have lost skill points due to this issue and my character progression is hindered. Please investigate this interaction between Dual Specialisation and Entwined Realities, and help me recover the lost points.
