Attack in between Spell Repeats ?

Thinking in particular of doing an Attack in between two Flame Dash of Return Repeats, but I'm curious about how it works in general.
(Unleash Support might also be relevant to the discussion ?)

(Also, I've just noticed that there's no triggers to process any kind of Attack...
is this a bit like damage conversion is one-way only,
to avoid spell => attack => spell infinite loops ?)

Multistrike repeats can be cancelled, but not Spell Echo repeats.

Can you explain how it works exactly? I would of though it was not possible to do an action in-between the repeats, without cancelling the chain?

Possibly. I don't know the exact reason, but I think it's intentional in their design, that spells have trigger mechanics and attacks can proc the triggers, but don't get triggered themselves. I think it could work like that if they wanted it too, but they have designed it differently.

I'm playing a Polyeist with disabled spells currently. Certainly would be useful to be able to proc some non spell skills. I think it works well they way they have it currently though.

I think i saw someone talking about using Chain Hook of Trarthus with FDoR... but it might have been in-between the casts, not between the repeats ?

I'm not certain, but I think cancelling the animation will result in the skill needing to be cast again.

I think the idea you are wanting of movement skill > attack > movement skill, in fast succession, is probably doable in some form. I don't know if it will work between repeats though, because it would stop the skill I think.

Are you wanting the ability to just cancel the animation at any time when you choose to attack, the recast flame dash? Or somehow attack in-between the repeats of a single flame dash?

Maybe. You would have to know if they are talking about between the animations and starting a new chain hook or not. Perhaps there is a video of it available.

I don't know much about this, but my understanding is just that some skills the animation can be cancelled and other can not. Which is important, because it gives the player more control over the action. I think though when ever it is cancelled, it will not continue after your next action. Unsure though, there may be exceptions.
