Temple destabilization bug

After using a lock medallion on a barracks slightly back from the end of a chain, and after destabilization several room "islands" were created.

From my understanding, this is not supposed to be the case, and instead, "extra" rooms + the end of chains should have been destabilised.

the room with the red box was locked, and the image shows my temple pre-destabilisation (no looping happened between chains), and afterwards, the in-game screenshot showing that there are several Alchemy Labs and Thaumaturges left on islands.
