Missing socketed skill: WORK AROUND

FYI, Spirit is still completely broken over a year in. Note, this is NOT a fix, only a way work around the bug:

STEP ONE: Turn off ALL spirit gems.

STEP TWO: Remove weapons in set 2.

STEP THREE: Remove all PERCENTAGE BASED spirit buffs. Flat value buffs on armour and amulets seem to be okay.

STEP FOUR: Find the specific spirit gem that DOESN'T WORK WITH YOUR PRIMARY WEAPON SET. If other gems you don't need active in your secondary set are broken there we don't care.

STEP FIVE: REMOVE AND REPLACE the broken spirit gem in your primary weapon set. The level, quality, and socket count of the gem doesn't matter. You can upgrade all of these after verifying everything is working.

STEP SIX: Turn on the previously broken gem with minimal support gem requirements. Verify it works.

STEP SEVEN: Re-add percentage based spirit buff items in primary weapon set with NO weapons in secondary set

STEP EIGHT: Turn on remaining spirit gems. Add all support gems, and verify all is working BEFORE adding secondary weapon set.

STEP NINE: Swap to secondary weapon set. Ignore spirit gems failing, etc. Add secondary weapons. If spirit buffs you need in your second set are broken I can't help you.

LAST STEP: Swap back to primary weapon set. IF everything is working here now you are okay.

NOW DON'T MESS WITH YOUR SPIRIT GEMS


Two things to note. First, this can get all spirit gems working in one weapon set, but if you have problems in both, and actually fight with both, it may not help you.

Second, this specific bug BREAKS spirit gems. The only fix I have found so far is to remove and replace problem gems. because of this LEVEL 20 SPIRIT GEMS ARE MEANINGLESS. Don't waste your currency on them unless you're fine with replacing them.

As, I said at the beginning, Spirit is still broken over a year into this little social engineering experiment. This is just one of the annoyances you will find with them after enough hours spent playing.
