Clarity on (Tier #) callouts for item drops. potential rework

It took me some digging and asking around but I cracked the code.

As you know a T1 modifier is the best.

however an unidentified item that has been dropped calling out (tier 5) is the best.

For whatever reason the tier numbers ascending/descending are reversed for the two.

as far as anyone knows, there is no real explanation or tutorial for players to grasp the understanding of this.

what i think actually happens in real time when you identify an item, is a random generation. Even though an item with no (tier #) callout is identified it has a low chance to generate a T1 modifier.

A (Tier 5) callout item on the ground is guaranteed to have very high odds for rolling GOOD tier modifiers.

-my opinion for developers-
This is a mystery for anyone who first comes across the items with the (Tier #) callouts.

the reversal of Tier 5 being better than Tier 1 is counter intuitive, being the opposite order of tiers for modifiers.

technically when someone says HIGHER tier, you would also expect higher number, which is another confusion.

so in a way it would make sense for modifier tiers to be re-worded as ranks instead of tiers, like rank1 modifier because HIGHER rank usually means lower number.

or the numbers could be reversed and a (tier 1) item callout could be better, idk. imo something needs to change, and there needs to be clarity for people to understand this.

I still think it's too laborious sifting through items reading into them, and there is an over abundance of item drops in endgame, when really we only want to be picking up high tier items.

understanding how the random generation works and getting clarity would be nice on why some (tier #) callout items are bad and a lot of times no better than regular rare drop with no (tier #) callout.

I really wish i could distinguish if something was worth picking up before identifying it and what level it is, just to save myself from eye strain. At the end of the day that is why most players ignore all the drops and only pick up tier 4 or 5 items, which in my opinion is a flaw and would prefer crafting.
