How much you lost by placing items to Faustus with wrong price ?
|
I put some beasts in trade at Faustus and don't see that by select out of my stash that i missklicked on wrong beast. So i put for all 10 chaos price at Faustus for the 3 beasts where the price is 3 divines (so 9 divs lost)...
First time this happens to me that i made such error... shit happens, i know it was my own fault I'am interested in how many players did the same experiance with Faustus (i like Faustus, but this is the only thing i dislike because you didn't have the chance to correct it. At normal trade you will see that the price you set was wrong and can decline the trade) Last bumped on Feb 11, 2026, 1:40:38 AM

You have time to correct your doings so I'm not sure what you're on about? I mean the prices don't lock immediately.
I always double-check my prices to avoid these mistakes. |

None that I'm aware of, in either game. Certainly there is players on here saying they have though.
I did almost get scammed trying to bulk buy items without checking the individual prices, but luckily didn't have enough total wealth as high as the inflated price they set. That was pretty bad even without loosing the currency. So I can understand players running into annoyances. It's not perfect, but ultimately like the face to face trading, this sort of thing only happens when the player has made a mistake. Perhaps some things can be implemented to make that less likely to happen, but it is currently on the player. There is a post from someone a few days ago that I think set their headhunter price to chaos instead of DIV. It's a big penalty, but if you are trying to sell something that is a large part of your wealth, more care is needed. Last edited by Belegur85#5784 on Feb 10, 2026, 6:43:56 PM

It's pretty hard to lose much via faustus and it generally gives you a warning if you are... but as for landmines I think it's pretty bad there's some solutions to the problem they could take but most of those make trading more difficult.
Real answer is just be extra careful when trading even with stuff like faustus. Just because trading was made 1000x easy doesn't mean you shouldn't look out for scams even if they r mostly self scams. |

Apologies, I have not read the post correctly. I was responding in regards to the item trading and not currency exchange.
For currency I have occasional made an incorrect trade. Largely it has happened when I have the ratios back to front, because I am checking the reverse side of the market, and forgot to adjust it. That is the thing that I think needs to be improved, because the information is set for buying price, but the reverse of what is useful when setting selling price. So that is something that I think can be improved. It's very finicky playing around with that to see the market. Perhaps they can have it showing both sides, though is largely also up to user making sure they are paying attention. I wonder why OP did not get a warning message in that case? Maybe as there was not a market already set on the item? Last edited by Belegur85#5784 on Feb 10, 2026, 8:56:51 PM

The message you mean is when you buy more items of the same type and the price is different, not at placing the items in trade.
My fault was that when i took out the beasts out of my stash that i take soem of the wrong ones. At placing in trade i checked only the price not if the beasts are the right... |

I see. Seems like that sort of warning could be extended then to this sort of thing, when the trade parameters are being confirmed.
