Disenchanting & Salvage combination

To simplify scrapping unwanted gear-
Imagine combining the 2 actions into 1 You take your items to the salvage bench. When you salvage an item it salvages quality, rune slots, and orb shards all together. This would also imply more abundance for each byproduct. share your thoughts- I think it would streamline the actions needed once arriving back to the hideout, currently it's required to see an NPC to identify them, see an NPC to disenchant, then go to the salvage bench. Maybe instead of seeing an NPC to identify items, there could be an NPC who is besides the salvage bench or operates the salvage bench who is able to identify them. this just simplifies the mechanic of moving between actions, rewards players doubly for salvaging items. Instead of having to choose between quality+socket or other orb shards, you're requesting a doubling of the loot output from items that are both salvageable + disenchantable.
IDK, I would prefer first a toggle option that prevents an item from being salvaged/disenchanted/sold/modified with currency. The potential frustration from an unintentional salvage/divine/vaal misclick is pretty heinous. |

maybe the items could be traded with the item smith, for shards and could be traded back if done unintentionally, just like selling for gold.
