[Feedback] Atlas Navigation - Integrate Google Map Modern Tools

For Content Patch 0.5.0, I hope GGG takes inspiration from Google Maps and incorporates modern navigation tools listed below to improve the overall user experience:

• Home Button: snaps camera back to starting location.
• Favorite Locations: drop pin on map node to save as favorite.
• Route Highlight: select map node and Atlas automatically highlights shortest path to it.
• Zoom-Out: expand maximum zoom-out by at least 100% as Atlas feels claustrophobic.
• Visual Toggles: sidebar panel to toggle visual effects on or off (e.g. hide dashed lines).
• Search Bar: search field that instantly highlights nodes that match your criteria. For example, search by map (e.g., "Unique," "Castaway") or by feature: (e.g., "Deadly Boss," "Citadel").

no, just throw that whole screen/UI into the trash and create some other way for us to select a map/group of maps to run

GGG is not going to throw the whole Atlas UI in the garbage, but atleast they should improve it's navigational functionality.

and if that doesn't happen

+1 for op, something has to be done for this map UI it really sucks.

But sometimes throwing something away that sucks and instead try something completely different, gives the nice fresh breath of air that was needed so bad

Agreed, the Atlas map UI is terrible and definitely needs improvement for 0.5.
