Changing Ascendency Class System/Skill Points

Dear Grinding Gear Games,

I honestly don’t understand what you were thinking with this Ascendancy Class changing system.

Right now it feels less like a feature and more like a chore disguised as “challenge.”

Instead of giving players freedom to experiment with builds something ARPGs are literally built around you’ve locked class changes behind repeating Trials over and over, artificial difficulty, and massive time sinks
and making others exploit it for diving gain
that stupid system need a change!

Who does this actually help?

Not casual players.
Not people who want to try new builds and exploring and correct stuff
following new builds

All it does is
1. Punish experimentation
2. Waste time with recycled Trial content
3. Force people into rigid decisions early
4. Create frustration instead of excitement and exploring

Changing Ascendancy should be easy and accessible, not some ritual where we re-prove ourselves every single time like it’s a freaken job interview.

And let’s be real for a moment:

This kind of design directly pushes Divine Orb traffic up, encourages RMT, and opens a massive hole in the economy because when respecting is painful, people look for shortcuts. That’s just reality.

You’re literally creating demand for Exploiters by making basic character progression unnecessarily messed up...

On top of that, doing Trials again and again is not “content.”
It’s busywork.

We already proved ourselves the first time.
Why are we being forced to redo the same tedious process just to try another Ascendancy?

This should have been:

1. One unlock → free or cheap swaps afterward
2. Or a simple in-town change class NPC option with a reasonable cost Or anything that respects player time.
You talk about build diversity, but then design systems that actively discourage it.

and other matter we need to change that "weapon sets" skills points!
i want to have those 23 skills points as regular points yellow path
not red and green its blocking and messing up variation of exploring of builds
give us more freedom and options

Hoping to see that Change in next update
its not that hard to implant and fix!

Weapon set points do not have to be allocated to a weapon set. You can use them as part of the “yellow” path.

can you please explain how?
cuz i did try to do what u say and i cant
im missing alot of points!
i cant create a yellow path on a red/green path its not possible
and if i use only yellow its not giving me the rest of the unused points of weapon set

the weapon set allow me to have "unused points" like its not taking from regular
but then its blocks the yellow great design.... u can use green/red on yellow
but not the opposite

oh look brooo
i just refund 5 of my green weapon set
and it didn't gave me any yellow path points
how messed up is that huh?
do you see my point now do you understand the system design flaw??
i want to continue with only yellow regular points and i cant
those "24" points will always be missed from normal points
and its stupid i cant use them on my normal path for the skills to work normal
and not on a specific weapon sets
Yellow is green and red combined. You can create a path from yellow to green and red. However, you can't create a path from green/red to yellow, as the red/green part will be disconnected.
To get one yellow point, you need to refund one red and one green point.
And with those 24 weapon set points, you can use 24 green and 24 red points, or just 24 yellow points.
Ascendancy shouldn't have been repickable to begin with.

That's the best part of their post. They claim that ARPG are built around being able to change things like CLASS anytime you want...

Yeah, Diablo was well known for allowing you to change class and respect characters mid game...
