Freeze Bug Still Affecting Tor Gul & Zalmarath

There’s a long-standing issue with freeze mechanics that has been around since 2024, affecting two bosses in PoE 2: Tor Gul and Zalmarath.
This bug seriously disrupts gameplay for freeze-based builds.

For Tor Gul, the freeze counter stays stuck at 99% for most of the fight.
Occasionally, below 50% HP, he will freeze, but it’s inconsistent: sometimes twice, sometimes only once, usually around 30% HP.
Tor Gul is listed as Armoured and Fire Resistant, but the problem specifically affects Freeze, making it difficult to control the boss as intended.

Zalmarath suffers a similar problem: his freeze counter also remains at 99%, but unlike Tor Gul, he never freezes at all.
This means freeze mechanics are completely ineffective for the entire fight, removing a key strategic option for players.

The impact is clear: both bosses break the expected gameplay for freeze-focused builds.
Tor Gul’s inconsistent freezing and Zalmarath’s total immunity make these fights frustrating and unpredictable, especially given that this bug has persisted for years.

Fixing the freeze counter or ensuring freezes trigger properly would restore strategic depth and make these encounters feel fair.
