General Game Feedback: Since Ascendencies are weaker, have them completed before endgame
|
Compared to POE 1, POE 2 ascendancies are neat, but obviously weaker than their POE 1 counterparts (I believe I read somewhere that this was by design and the Ascendancies are more for utility than power).
Given this, once the game has ALL 6 ACTS, I think any player should be able to fully complete their ascendency BEFORE the Atlas. I think making it in POE 1 where your final points came from the Atlas made sense, given POE 1 Ascendancies gave you more power. But given the utilitarian nature of the Ascendancies in POE 2, I think you should be able to get your final points in Act 6. Token can still drop in maps for farming. And given this, I wonder if, since it is for the last points, bringing back the original Labyrinth wouldn't make for a nostalgic final choice. Of course, you could still have tokens for the other Trials set at level-appropriate places for people to get their final points there. Consider this as a suggestion for the future. Cliff Notes: * POE2 Ascendancies are underpowered compared to POE1 * POE2 Ascendancies should be able to be fully unlocked with all points by Act 6 * Consider bringing back the original Labyrinth for the Act 6 Trial. * Options to complete your Ascendency in other trials remain via droppable tokens. I think not
Finding someone strong enough to help you pass Ascendency Trials played a big part of trading activities, lack this will lose so much fun |
