Game freeze and loss of Ascendancy

Sent the below to the support email which said to post here...

Hi,

I completed my first ascendancy trial (Trial of Sekhemas) and upon killing the final boss the quest says “Use the Altar of Ascendancy to choose your Ascendancy” which I think I was supposed to use in that bosses room, however, the game was frozen so I was unable to use if. There was also a shard to rerun the trial I think but I was unable to pick it up due to the game being frozen. I waited a minute or two and had no choice but to logout.

Upon logging in it brought me back to the beginning of the trial which is annoying but more importantly the little coin I used to access the trial is no longer in my inventory so I don’t even have the option to rerun it to get to the Altar of Ascendancy.

Can you please help?

Fwiw it was not my computer that froze. My computer continued to run fine. It was only the game that froze immediately upon killing the boss.
