What is the purpose of rankings / ladder in Poe / Poe 2?
|
As a competetiv person I was wondering if the ladders serve any other purpose than being a glorified speedrunning leaderboard?
I mean is it really just who is level 100 the fastest in any given league? Is there something I´m missing? Can you start now and get to rank 1 in the current league? (regardless of how much grind, currency it would be or how important that ladder is overall) Also I read a guide on mobalytics where the author mentioned "I was rank 1 sorc for most of the time" what does he mean? Is there another inofficial site that tracks other stuff then just chronology and XP? Last bumped on Feb 7, 2026, 11:01:46 PM

There was a website that listed the boss kills a while back, they stopped doing it for some reason. Think it may of been poe-racing that seems to be shut down.
Some of the third party tools seem to run into some difficulties over the past couple of years. I think I remember one of them saying one problem was with the account identifier number updates. Also in general just a lot of work for the maintainers. Perhaps GGG can improve their ladders on the website, but I think they are pretty focused on updating content for both the games. |

As of right now Rinko is the "undisputed" best PoE player with over ten days remaining before the Phrecia event is over. Single player games are designed for the masses to be able to complete or experience through most of the theme park content, which nowadays is also available to watch / consume on youtube / twitch and has become generic for years.
I've said this before, the "content" for me is the players / online community I get to compete, which is why I'm also that same invaluable content that makes PoE a better game than it would've been. Goals are important for a game to remain engaging, meaningful, rewarding and fun. At the end even if whatever was left from the POE community that wouldn't offer much of a challenge I would still aim to reach the lowest depths of Delve and even if "nobody" cares, that's irrelevant. Not everyone can be good at whatever they're doing and certainly not the best and those are the same individual who "don't care" about ranks / ladders. If you want to be the best in whatever you do, well hope whoever is the "best" share their gameplay and guides on youtube / twitch, because it does help outside of your own personal skill and exp. |

" What happened to you being the best poe racer? Now you call yourself "invaluable content"? |
