Maximum golems working wrong with carrion golems ?
|
I believe Carrion Golem of Scavenging is not functioning correctly when used alongside other golem types.
My character has a maximum golem limit of 16. When summoning only Fire Golems, I can correctly reach 16 golems. The maximum Carrion Golem limit is 12, which is expected when used alone. However, when mixing golems: I have 6 other golems already summoned. I can only summon 9 Carrion Golems of Scavenging, resulting in a total of 15 golems. The game does not allow me to summon the 10th Carrion Golem, even though: My total golem limit is 16. The Carrion Golem limit (12) has not been reached. Carrion Golem of Scavenging also does not replace an existing golem when attempting to summon beyond this point. This behavior suggests that Carrion Golem of Scavenging is being incorrectly restricted when mixed with other golem types, causing the total number of active golems to be one lower than intended. I think you're maybe misunderstanding how Hordes works. Your base golem count is 12, not 16. +1 base, +1 notable, +2 anima, +2 Liege = 12. Unless I'm missing some other source and both tooltips are wrong.
So it's not a 1:1 comparison. You're comparing with Flame Golem of the Hordes which has 3 base golems vs the non-horde golems 1 base golem (at the cost of no buff). With the double from your helmet, the +2 becomes +4, the difference between 12 and 16 golem limit when using one golem type. Where it gets confusing is you can use Hordes golems to exceed your base limit. So if you had 12 Carrion golems out, you should be able to summon Hordes to exceed the normal 12 limit. I forget if it works with the golem helmet from my testing, but I want to say it capped at +2 above your limit when using Hordes? My suggestion is to start with no other golems out (unsocket to despawn). You should reach 12 Carrion Scavenging golems no problem. Then summon 2 Flame Horde golems, total should be 14. Then see what happens when you summon another Flame Horde. Either it stays at 14 and despawns a Scavenging, or goes to 15. Repeat until it starts despawning your Carrion golems since they were the first golem summoned. Whatever that number is before it despawned, that is your "overlimit" via Hordes. So then your total summoned golems should be: (12 Chaos Scavenging minus buff golems desired) + Overlimit Horde golems. My head hurts now trying to logic that out, hope that somehow was helpful.
