L30 Raise Spectre gem (Spectre L81) gives aura level 8 (req level 45)

I raise a frozen cannibal to have cold resist (and +# max cold resist)

My gen is level 21
+1 from awakened support
+2 from item
+6 from global modifers
------
= L30 skill Raise spectre (spectres are level 81)


I only got +29% to cold res, and +1 to max res = level 8 skill, which have a requirement of l45

I expected at least L20 aura effect (+41% res / +4% to max res)
or even better l25 +46% / +5% (the requirement is lev 80)

I guess there is bug somewhere(like wrap at level 21!), or it should be documented
somewhere in raise spectre or aura.

I tested with level 1 an 7 gems, and remove some gears to check how it goes wrt level :
gem L7 -> spectre l44 => +24% = skill level 3
L13 -> s l56 => +26% = skill level 5
L27 -> s l78 => + 29% = skill level 8

it seems that +20 to gem level gives + 5 to spectre skill level :-(
to say it differently spectre skill level = gem level /4 + epsilon.

This is very annnoying, i cannot do my nice and very expensive build due to useless aura spectre.

The purity auras from the raise specters are purposefully designed to be that weak. Its not a bug.

it should be written somewhere :
"Having level 1 or level 30 spectre is roughtly the same for auras."

I have checked the 3.27 changelog, the only mention of spectres is about heir "not death" in maps and they become untargetable orbs (which is a good thing)

The divide level by 4 is a bit hard, maybe divide by 2 "only" would make sense:
Level 20 gem => level 10 aura
Level 30 => l15
Level 40 => level 20 aura (btw i have no idea how to get a L40 gem)

curently no need to raise level of aura spectre, just plonk a level 1 gem is enough and cheap (compared to the ton of divines i spent to raise level)

The auras have had their current strength since the itemized specters were added to the game. You are not the first person to be disappointed by their power levels.

So the current wiki documentation let me think that the scale factor is /2, not /4.

The https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Skill:ColdResistAura should be fixed, and i guess it is GGG's stuff , or from GGG provided data.

Its linking you to the actual purity of ice gem. The specters have a special value for their purity auras.

I admit its not documented well but its not a bug.

Thanks for the link, those aura spectre are not so bad (past the initial disapointment), i could easyly managed to get the few missing percent res.

OT: i had a look at your build L100 necromancer, it gaves me one very good improvement : empower+Animate guardian is much better defence than my previous 2 awakened support gems for meat shield spectre :-)
