Abyss wont spawn mobs after killing all surrounding abyss monsters

Abyss wont spawn mobs after killing all surrounding abyss monsters, even tried to look for burrowed ones. circle back to abyss area multiple times, still no new mobs spawn or missed. this kept happening on multiple map and multiple abyss.
