lets us save presets for builds
|
Hello.
Changing builds is fun and important for me for long term motivation - I enjoy switching builds regularly. Currently its so much effort: switching all those support gems around, redoing the entire passive tree, changing the items... I would appreciate it, if we get some way to make this process easier. I would like build-presets, were you can save your build and later switch between different builds with a single click. This would be ideal. But also things like saving and loading the passive tree would already help. Last bumped on Jan 22, 2026, 8:52:12 AM

It's a great idea, in fact it's the basic functionality for a game with a lot of build variation, the only reason why it's not there is to lengthen the gameplay, there's no fun in it.

they built the game on a purpose to annoy players and not easily follow a guide and save preset builds.

GGG never intended for players to redo their entire character and switch builds around. (especially not repeatedly)
U're supposed to make a new character in that case. They still allow u to, if u feel like u don't enjoy ur current character or made mistakes u want to undo. That's one of the reasons why Jonathan didn't want to lower the respec costs in the first place, but he made a compromise. Therefor I wouldn't expect them to add anything u've suggested ever. I can understand that GGG assumed that each character would be made for one specific build, but I think this idea has been around for more than 10 years, a lot has happened since then, the variability and complexity of builds have increased, the speed of play and leveling has changed, the industry standards themselves have changed, it would not be wise to ignore the QoL, we cannot to go back to the past, which means we have to adapt, and now building is a big part of the gameplay, and in order to get maximum coverage among players in this particular case, changes are needed. I understand that they have the right to decide how to make their game and no one can tell them, but you can't lose touch with reality.
